I take the blood thinner Xarelto once a day. I have a bone marrow biopsy scheduled for mid-December. I'm not allowed to be on any blood thinners 5 days prior to the procedure.

Suddenly stopping blood thinners kind of sounds scary. I see AFib, stroke, heart attack, blood clots, and a number of other risks listed for those who stop taking blood thinners.

Can anyone share your experience with stopping blood thinners abruptly? Do you feel weird or sick? Or am I worrying too much? I'm on my 4th cycle of RVd so I'm a dexamethasone veteran at this point. Maybe stopping blood thinner is no big deal compared to that? I just wanted to check. Thank you.
